About Christina

Christina Ruggieri is a Manhattan-based artist and illustrator specializing in lush, whimsical watercolors, and poetic pastel, charcoal and ink drawings.

The granddaughter of painter and daughter of a floral designer, she grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in the late 1970s and 80s, and her work is heavily influenced by the fine and commercial artists, products and music of this time.

Although she has drawn and painted since childhood, it wasn't until being diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2017 that she decided to leave corporate America, where she had been an executive for two international luxury brands, to create and market her own unique, playful, one-of-a-kind works of art that she hopes bring.a sense of playfulness, wonder and joie de vivre to peoples' lives and living spaces.
